Barbagallo Raceway – Pit lane Perfection

Mar 8, 2017 -- Posted by : Merger

Smooth driving conditions are important to road safety and nowhere are driving conditions more critical than in the high speed world of motor racing. So when entry into Pit Lane at Barbagallo Raceway was identified as a concern, the team from Merger Contracting were called in.

The median strip surface had degraded over time and was uneven, causing drivers issues if they drifted too far left on entry. The Merger crew removed 150 tonnes of grass and dirt from a 307m2 area, and replaced it with road base and a layer of smooth new Red Asphalt.
